Dear NECTAR Members and Colleagues,

A new and exciting year is starting, which will feature the biannual (and first Transatlantic) Euro-NECTAR Conference, to be held on 18–20 June 2009 in Arlington, VA (USA). The conference will be hosted by the School of Public Policy, at George Mason University (abstract deadline: 15 March 2009). Please find on the NECTAR website (www.nectar-eu.org) the conditions for paying no conference fee and receiving free accommodation.

Last year has been – as always – an active year for NECTAR. In 2008, a number of cluster meetings have been held in various locations, which have allowed us to attract a high number of new members.

The first item of news in 2009 is that the official NECTAR Treasurer email has changed. All membership correspondence should now be addressed to the following email address:

nectartreasury@gmail.com

which will provide a stable reference point for all current and potential members in the coming years. In spite of this small change, the rest of the NECTAR membership information and requirements are unchanged.

The NECTAR membership fees are:

- €60.00 or, for those under the age of 30, €35.00 (year 2009)
- €110.00 or, for those under the age of 30, €60 (years 2009 and 2010)

Your payments of annual and biannual membership fees should be made to the NECTAR bank account, which is the following:
